Why try

Why try to be right? the pressure gonna keep building. why try to be right no one is going to pat you on your back. why try to be right? the blame for everything wrong gonna come your way. why try to be right no one cares. i try to be right, so i don't go crazy, so i can sleep at night, and look at myself in the mirror. so i don't have nightmares or cry myself to sleep. so I believe in myself when all else fails. most importantly I try to do right, so that I won't believe people who say i do wrong.

You won't let me

I'm trying to see what we can be, A great couple, a loving family. I play my part to grow this tree, I try to believe in us and we but you won't let me. Your beliefs, your anger are crippling, you refusal to grow sends confusion rippling through my calm and understanding mind. There are no other girls and I abandoned my grind. Trying to insure us a success, a greatness, I can't settle for less. This is unacceptable a horrible waste of two lives and hearts, Instead of contributing to the building of us, you would rather tear us apart. I'm consistently here for you waiting and ready trying to believe in us and we but you won't let me.

The Treasure I Found

I found a treasure deep inside of me.

It said that I am worth.

Everything God went through creating me from earth.

This treasure more valuable than the highest stock.

More priceless than the rarest rock.

This treasure I found no one can take it

It’s authentic can’t counterfeit or fake it

It’s my treasure Only to be witnessed in my presence

you can feel the heat of the glow or bask in the essence

I won’t tell you what my treasure is

It protects my health preserves my wealth

It guides my decisions leads me to the light

helps me decide between wrong and right

My treasure has not reached it’s full potential

It has become more valuable with everything I’ve been through.
